The Listowel Business Improvement Area is made up of over 200 local business people and commercial property owners and tenants that have joined together, with the support of the municipality, to organize, finance, and carry out physical improvements and promote economic development in the district. As an integral member of a network of community partners, we work to create a thriving, competitive and safe business area to attract shoppers, diners, visitors and new businesses. A major focus of the BIA is to market and promote the Listowel Business Improvement Area as the business destination of choice to residents and visitors alike. The Listowel BIA works collaboratively with the Municipality of North Perth, the North Perth Chamber of Commerce, and other community groups and service clubs to be catalysts for civic improvement. We strive to make this community a better place to live, visit and do business.
The Listowel BIA is currently working on several initiatives. Our Facebook Page Discover Listowel and Instagram account Discover Listowel are used to promote all the business community has to offer. We maintain the four grand entrance signs to the community and street banners in the downtown area. We also maintain the annual summer flowers and seasonal decorating throughout Listowel. We are actively marketing the area through newspaper and radio advertisements as well as social media with the goal of enticing more customers and more businesses.
The Listowel BIA Board of Directors meets once a month. The meeting is usually the first Wednesday of each month at 7:30 a.m. Meetings are held in the Committee Room at the Municipal Office at 330 Wallace Avenue North in Listowel. All Members of the Listowel BIA are welcome to attend Board Meetings. Contact us to find out more and join our meetings.
Our Board is made up of up to 12 directors, 10 of which are chosen from the BIA membership, along with a Council representative and the North Perth Director of Finance/Treasurer. Board members of the Business Improvement Area are dedicated to the development and promotion of the business community.

We are looking for energetic, passionate and business-minded people to fill vacancies on our Board of Directors. The Board of Directors meets once a month for Board Meetings as well as participates in sub-committee work throughout the year.
